Joel Masacote is one of the most respected dancers in the salsa industry. Equally skilled in music & dance, his focus lies in the relation of notes to movement.

Joel began training in music in 1986. In 1995, he began his formal training in salsa dance and began to merge his skills in music and dance. He has since traveled to 14 countries performing and teaching around the world. His impeccable ear for music and background in martial arts have earned him respect in salsa and music around the world.

Outside of dance, Joel attended the prestigious Howard University in the Jazz Studies department. He co-founded Masacote Dance Company with wife Ana Masacote in 2003.
