Mauro started dancing at the age of 24 when he arrived in London after he moved from his home town of Milan. Within 2 years he had featured in a music video on MTV Asia and was teaching for Elder Sanchez (Salsateca) at some of the most popular venues (Bar Salsa, Bar Rumba, Bar Havana, La Finca). In 2001 Mauro was a finalist in the British Salsa Competition with Nicky Britton.

His reputation as an inspiring and entertaining teacher spread quickly and in 2003 Mauro was asked to teach and perform with Leon Rose and Tamambo as part of the SOS team. It was here that he met and began dancing with Eva Hurychova. Mauro currently teaches at SOS and Bar Salsa (London) and has recently started his own weekly styling and partnerwork classes. Over the past 3 years Mauro has also been invited to teach and perform internationally.

Mostly seen in Salsa festivals in Northern Europe and Southern Europe.
