Alexis is a dancer, choreographer, instructor, and percussionist. He is extremely multi-talented and passionate, and is the creator of the unique dance concept he has named, "Alexistyle".
Alexis started his dance career at the age of 13, in Antigua, Guatemala. In 1999, he visited Cuba in order to learn the many forms of Latin dance. Here, Alexis received his diploma, specializing in Afro-Cuba dance at "Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba". Alexis has also studied African dance, Stepping, Flamenco, Cha-Cha, Mambo, Salsa, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Funk and House.
I 2000, Alexis moved to Japan where he began his own dance school. He had great success with over 1000 students from all over the world. Alexis was a pioneer in Japan, launching himself as a solo artist and presenting his originality and creativity through his dancing style. In Japan, Alexis made appearances on radio interviews, TV, magazines and newspapers. Alexis has also participated in many shows and international salsa events, making his US debut at the West Coast Salsa Congress (the biggest salsa congress in the world), where In 2005, he received and award and recognition for his contributions and work as a dancer, and instructor from Albert Torres Productions.

To further complement his art, he also began his own Latin-Jazz band named "Floribale", which played many of Alexis's own compositions.
