Bio

Coming from a dance background of Latin Ballroom, Street Jazz and other dances, Gary was
first introduced to Street Salsa in 2002 and has never looked back since.
Widely known for his candid character and humorous teaching style, Gary have been invited
to teach, choreograph and perform in various nationwide events like Chingay 2005 as well as
international events like:
• 2006 Malaysia International Salsa Festival
• 2006 & 2007 Taiwan International Salsa Congress
• 2007 Taipei International Salsa Festival
• 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009 Singapore International Salsa
Festival
• 2008 Bangkok International Salsa Fiesta
• 2009 San Francisco International Salsa Congress
• 2010 Sydney International Bachata Festival

His artistic and dynamic Afro Performance choreography in the 2007 Singapore International Festival earned rave reviews and brought a new style of salsa to the scene.

His unique and showy dance style had brought him recognition in salsa scenes around the region and he was one of the final participants for the World Salsa Championship 2007 – Asia Qualifying Leg held in Singapore. Gary was also voted to be the 2nd Runner up Most Favourite Instructor in Singapore for the Salsasingapore Choice Awards Ceremony.

Widely known for his candid character and humorous teaching style, his teachings have benefited many where his students gone on to win Salsa Champion titles and others gone on to carve their own Dance teaching career. Most recently, his students had just clinched the Champion and 1st Runner Up for Asia Bachata Championship 2010.
Despite his accomplishments in dance, he holds a 2nd Class Honor, Bachelors Degree from NTU business school.
