Safe Haven Ballet presents Sleeping Beauty as its first production and fundraiser! SHB was created by director, Lissa Curtis, to inspire the community and support survivors of sexual violence.
Safe Haven Ballet presents Sleeping Beauty as its first performance and fundraiser on June 1, 2019 at Portsmouth Christian Academy of Dover at 4:00 PM.
Safe Haven Ballet is a newly formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in New Hampshire under the direction of Lissa Curtis. The purpose of Safe Haven Ballet is to serve the community by providing free trauma sensitive ballet, movement, and art classes for survivors of sexual violence and trauma, as well as create uplifting and inspiring ballet based performances. Bring your whole family to this classic fairy tale. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite prince, princess, or character from the ballet. Stay a few minutes after the show to take pictures with the Princess Aurora, Prince Desire and their friends! Intermission will include a bake sale fit for royalty that will help fund the many free classes at Safe Haven Ballet. This ballet will feature Kyle Tanguay of Rochester as the Prince (who just became the first male cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles!) and Mackenzie Pinet of Atkinson as Princess Aurora.
Come support the arts; come support the dancers; come support survivors of sexual violence!
